The project is to rehabilitation Atyrau - Aktau Road over its entire length of 894km to help improve the road inftrastructure network in Western Kazakhstan. Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan made available funds from its internal resources for detailed engineering survey and design for improvement of the above name road. The scope of work includes the following: - detailed topographic survey - geotechnical investigations - hydrological studies - traffic studies - pavement condition survey - bridges and culverts condition survey - detailed geometric design - detailed structual design - road furniture design - environmenatal studies - cost estimates - preparation of bidding documents
